COVID-19

JBU will make every effort to ensure our facility is clean and sanitized to protect against infectious diseases such as the flu and COVID-19.  Smaller ratios and a controlled environment, JBU is MUCH SAFER than a classroom in school.  Further, the following safety and health measures will be in place:

  • For safety purposes, in most instances JBU prefers parents drop-off children at the door and refrain from entering the facility

  • Any person entering the facility must have a forehead temperature scan

    • Temperatures over 100.3 degrees will not be admitted into the facility

  • Any person entering the facility must wear a face covering over the nose and mouth at all times

    • Persons not wearing a face mask will not be admitted into the facility

  • Any person entering the facility must not show visual signs of sickness

    • Anyone continuously coughing, sneezing, and/or  runny nose will not be admitted into the facility

  • Hand hygiene stations will be set up at the entrance of the facility, so that children can clean their hands before they enter

  • Hand sanitizer will be distributed by staff on a regular basis throughout the day

  • Children will be required to randomly and regularly wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

  • Children will be required to randomly have their temperature checked throughout the day

  • If a child presents a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, that child will immediately be isolated in the facility, parents/guardians will be required to pick-up the child, JBU staff will clean and disinfect all surfaces in the facility, and JBU staff will clean and disinfect the isolation area after the sick child has gone home

  • If COVID-19 is confirmed in a child or staff member:

    • JBU will be closed for 24 hours while the entire facility is cleaned and disinfected.

    • JBU staff will open outside doors and windows to increase air circulation in the facility.

    • JBU will notify all participants of the infection
